INDUSTRIAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR IFMIF-DONES

Parallel session B2

5th October 2022/ 17:00-18:30
Picasso room
(floor -2)

Granada is the single European candidacy to host IFMIF-DONES, a single-sited novel Research Infrastructure within the fusion roadmap which will allow scientists to test, validate and qualify materials to be used in fusion power plants. It is based on a unique neutron source with energy spectrum and flux tuned to those expected for the first wall in future fusion facilities. This strategic importance is supported by the fact that DONES has been included in 2018 in the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI).

The outcome of the IFMIF-DONES Preparatory Phase project together with the opportunities and technologies required for the construction and development of IFMIF-DONES, will be presented in this session.
