BSBF2020 will address the topic of Big Science as a business area and in dedicated parallel sessions focus on Big Science investments in the coming years in the following technology areas: 

  • Basic material technologies and advanced manufacturing techniques
  • Complex building construction and its safety related systems
  • Cryogenics, vacuum and leak detection technologies technologies
  • Diagnostics and detectors, sensors, optics and instruments
  • Electrical, power electronics, electromechanical and RF systems
  • High precision and large mechanical components
  • Information and communication technologies
  • Instrumentation, control and CODAC
  • Remote handling systems
  • Superconductivity and superconducting magnets

 

There will be also a specific session devoted to opportunities for the European industry for IFMIF-DONES and two sessions which will cover future investments in participating Affiliated Big Science Organisations (ABSOs).

Furthermore a number of cross-cutting topics will be addressed at BSBF2020:

  • SME involvement
  • How to to bussiness with BSOs
  • Industrial procurement and IPR
  • Technology Transfer
