Episode 1: Strategic view, roadmaps and development programmes of astronomy research infrastructures ", was held last Wednesday and was focused on astronomy. New BSBF Webinar Miniseries: A look into the future of Big Science infrastructures: Save the dates!

On 4-7 October 2022, the top European Big Science research facilities will be meeting together with industry in Granada (Spain) in the Big Science Business Forum 2022 to present their business opportunities for industry in the period 2022-2026. In this congress industry will learn about the Big Science investments in the coming years in different technology areas and benefit from the unique opportunity of networking with key representatives from the Big Science organisations and other stakeholders.

But what will come next? In this BSBF Webinar Miniseries with three episodes, we take a leap to glimpse what the future might bring in terms of new facilities, experiments or upgrades and what challenges lie ahead of us. Representatives from different Big Science facilities will lay out in three episodes their research and development plans and future projects, providing industry a picture of their technology needs and opportunities for collaboration which will drive the Big Science market in the decades to come.

3rd BSBF Webinar Presentations Available!

The 3rd BSBF Webinar “How Industry and Research Infrastructures can innovate the Big Science Market: The BSBF Technology Transfer Track” has been a great success with a great impact of audience and on the media. This success was because of the great quality of speakers from: CDTI, PERIIA, Big Science Organisations with relevant initiatives in Technology Transfer (CERN, EMBL, ESA, F4E), Academia (UPM) and Industry participating with proposals into the BSBF technology Transfer Track (AVS, LEADING, TISICS).

We had 454 registered participants in the event; the mean value of participation was 209 online participants. On top of that, the event had a great impact on social media.

The 3rd BSBF Webinal will be focused on technology transfer on the Big Science market:

First, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid as a prominent member of the Academia, will give and introduction to technology transfer in Big Science and how to improve it from academic/ scientific institution to industry.

Following, an interview or tour the table between Big Science organisations on technology transfer technology will be organised with the participation of: F4E, CERN, ESA, and EMBL. This tour the table will be moderated by PERIIA, the pan European network of ILOs.

CDTI, as BSBF2021 organiser, will drive all BSBF2021 potential participants through the BSBF2021 Technology Transfer Track: How to participate, how to apply step by step, and what advantages you will enjoy if your proposal is selected.

Finally, some industries participating in the BSBF2021 Technology Transfer Track: AVS, TISICS, and LEADING will explain its experiences on technology transfer in the Big Science market, and how their proposals has been uploaded into the uploaded to the BSBF2021 Technology Transfer Track web.
